Fred Amugi Plays Atta Mills In New Movie ‘The Pledge (Ghana Will Not Burn)’

As Ghana heads for its 6th national elections in the 4th Republic, The Ghana Armed Forces and DreamHouse Pictures, one of the leading names as far as quality movie production in concerned has put together a masterpiece, that will blow your mind away, keep on the edge of your seat, captivate you and enlighten you into what goes on behind the scene amongst the sitting President, John Evans Atta Mills of the National Democratic Congress played by veteran screen actor (FRED AMUGI), the two former Presidents, Jerry John Rawlings (NDC) and the gentle-jack, John Agyekum Kufuor of the NPP played by his own son …and the now flagbearer of the NPP.

Imagine these political bigwigs travelling together not with a convoy but in a jeep on a journey of discovery. The sitting President John Evans Atta Mills many taught had traveled to China on a national assignment but later end up been kidnapped by some miscreants in their quest to cause fear and panic among the populace.


The Pledge features veteran actors such as Fred Amugi, Grace Nortey, Akorfa Asiedu-Adjeani, Adjetey Annang popularly known as “PUSHER”, Roselyn Ngissah, son of former President John Agyekum Kufuor who plays the role of his father and many more exciting faces that will thrill you.

The Pledge is expected to be premiered on November 30, 2012 at the plush Silver bird cinema’s Accra with a special screening for members of the Security Services at the British Council in Accra on Wednesday, November 28, 2012. It is a Musah Al-Hassan Toure film and directed by no means a person than Cosby Bikpe under his DreamPictures label with special support from the Ghana Armed Forces.

The Pledge (Ghana will not burn) is timely and a must-watch for all especially as the elections to elect a President and Members of Parliament is just days away in the West African nation of Ghana.
